3. Dress Code Clarification

  1. Nails: Fake nails are a safety risk and not allowed. Natural fingernails and toenails should be kept short

  2. Jewelry: Should be removed before practice, especially earrings and necklaces.

  3. Undershirt: Should be a plain black shirt always, but especially on promotion days.

  4. Long hair: Which touches the shoulders, must be securely tied up and/or braided.

  5. Gis: Should be regularly washed, and occasionally treated with vinegar to prevent odor.

  6. Not meeting code: May have the coach asking students to immediately address it or sit out. We can’t be expected to help students meet code and we take no responsibility for broken or lost jewelry. However, we can help with belt tying!

These guidelines are also available in our Online Member Handbook

4. Let's Stay Healthy

It's still flu season!

  1. Please do not send your child to class if they are sick or looking or acting sick.

  2. If your child is coughing more than once every five minutes, please keep them home for rest and recovery.

  3. Coaches will ask persistently coughing kids to sit out or wear a mask. Your cooperation helps keep our dojo healthy. Thank you!

5. Are Your Friends Interested?

Give your hanai nephews and nieces the same opportunity as your kids. We’re making it even easier for you to help them get involved.

  1. If you know someone who's kids could benefit, refer them to us, we’ll do the rest!*

  2. We’ll ask about their situation, answer any questions and, if appropriate, help them book a trial class or trial membership over the phone.

  3. When you refer at least 2 friends, you’ll receive 10% off your next month’s membership fee, regardless of whether they sign up for a trial.

Bonus: Financial aid is available for families in need. If cost is a concern, we'll let them know they have options!

*Please ensure you have their permission before sharing their details with us.
