Dear Mindful Martial Arts Ohana,

Ukus/Head-Lice Notice:
We were informed yesterday that one of our students had Ukus (head lice) on Monday. Considering the life cycle of lice, it's possible they had them for several weeks beforehand. They have now been successfully treated for the Ukus.
Please check your child's head for ukus/head-lice right away. If you find Ukus, please keep your child home from class until they have been treated. Please check this website for more support in checking for and eliminating ukus: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/life-cycle-of-lice#Summary

Competition, Sat Jun 21 in Pukalani:
We've been invited to a local invite-only competition in Pukalani! Junior Leoso, the head of Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu reached out to me personally to invite our students to participate in his mini competition on Saturday, 6/21. Registration is required. Learn more and sign up here.

Free Training Time, THIS Saturday Jun 14:
It's free two ways: financially and structurally. From 1:30-3:30pm this Saturday, 6/13, come get some training in! Primary coach support will be given to students who are drilling in preparation for the competition the following week.
That said, everyone is welcome (including parents who want to drill with their kids); as long as students remain focused on drills and free-rolls.

Summer Camp, July 7
Our Nature Ninjas Summer Camp still has space available! It's officially for children entering kindergarten through age 7, though exceptions may apply. In addition to verbal jiu-jitsu, mindful movement, and age-appropriate physical self-defense techniques, children will experience arts, crafts, nature-walks, water- and garden-activities which support a deeper understanding and integration of our Mindful Martial Arts Full Spectrum Self-Defense System™.
Aloha,
